Contact your lender first
Lenders have hardship teams and are required to consider requests for help. Changes may include a temporary pause or reduction in repayments, extending the loan term, or switching to interest-only for a period.
Call the lender, tell them you're experiencing financial hardship, and explain what's changed, for example job loss, illness, relationship breakdown or a natural disaster. The lender must respond to a hardship notice within 21 days.
How we can help
If your loan was arranged through Lend Secure, Ram can help you understand your options, find your lender's hardship contact and, where appropriate, look at whether refinancing or restructuring could help. Call 0402 634 591 or get in touch.
